About the expert
Syed Asif Masood,
MD, MSc.
Dr. Masood is a dual board-certified physician — General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology, both certified by the American Board of Pediatrics — with a Master of Science in Clinical Research.
He serves as Associate Professor of Pediatrics at a renowned academic medical university. His active clinical practice has two distinct arms: telehealth general pediatrics serving patients across multiple states, and office-based congenital, pediatric, and fetal cardiology — including inpatient and outpatient evaluation, echocardiography, and longitudinal management of congenital heart disease and prenatally diagnosed cardiac conditions.
His medicolegal practice is grounded in over twenty years of direct patient care, formal research training, and active academic appointments. He has served as a retained medical expert in pediatric medical malpractice litigation, including preparation of an expert report and sworn deposition testimony, with additional prior sworn testimony in other legal proceedings. He completed Armin Feldman, MD's Medical/Legal Consulting course in 2024.

Principles
Four commitments to every retaining attorney.
Independence
Opinions are not adjusted to fit the side of the caption. If the record changes the opinion, the opinion changes.
Clarity
Reports are written so a juror can understand them and so a cross-examining attorney cannot misread them.
Discipline
Opinions stay inside specialty boundaries and inside the four corners of the medical record.
Responsiveness
Counsel hears back within one business day. Deadlines are honored, not negotiated late.
Discuss a potential case.
Initial conversations are confidential and complimentary.
